Builders Showcase Expo desk from September 26-27 for

Pre-show Details:
Be “In The Know” Before You Go
Balances Due
All balances for exhibit space and/or advertising are due no later than Thursday, August 29, 2007, 30 days prior to the opening of the Builders Showcase Expo. Balances paid after August 22, 2007, must be made by cashier’s check, money order, or cash.
Balances must be paid before exhibit space is set-up, NO EXCEPTIONS.
Liability Insurance
A copy of your company’s proof of insurance must be on file with the GSABA office prior to the opening of the show. Please contact your insurance company and request a Certificate of Insurance be sent to GSABA.
It is mandatory that the Greater San Antonio Builders Association be listed as Additional Insured for ALL exhibitors.
Health Permit
If you intend to sell consumable products during the event it is required by the city of San Antonio that you obtain a temporary food establishment permit. It will be the Exhibitor’s responsibility to obtain this permit. An inspector will be present during the event so please have the permit with you. You are required to fill out a Temporary Food Permit and submit it with payment when you check-in at the BSE show desk. This permit is available for download under Exhibitor Forms. For questions, please contact the Builders Showcase Expo Management at (210)696-3800.
Freight
Advanced shipments should be sent to Convention Decorating at the following address: 4323 Factory Hill, San Antonio, Texas 78219. Shipments made directly to the Alamodome must arrive no earlier than the first day of move-in. The Exhibitor must be present to accept shipment. ALL SHIPMENTS MUST HAVE THE SHOW NAME, COMPANY NAME, CONTACT NAME, PHONE AND BOOTH #. ADDITIONAL DRAYAGE CHARGES MAY APPLY.
Sales Tax Permit
If you, as an Exhibitor, are going to be selling products at the Expo, you must have a Sales Tax Permit from the State of Texas. If you do not, please call 1-800-252-5555 or apply online at www.window.state.tx.us.
Products Selling & Sales Receipts
It is important for exhibitors to give receipts to customers purchasing items during the Show. This is an additional security measure and will eliminate embarrassment to the customer who may be asked to present proof of purchase when leaving the show.

All Exhibitors are required to cover their exhibit space with appropriate flooring (i.e., carpet, wood floor, tile, brick, area rug, etc.); it is the responsibility of each exhibitor to arrange and pay for flooring for exhibit space.
ABSOLUTELY NO ANCHORING, NO LIQUID ADHESIVE, NO DUCT TAPE, DRILLING OR OTHER PERMANENT AFFIXING TO THE ALAMODOME FLOOR IS ALOWED. EXHIBITOR WILL BE 100% LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES INCURRED ON THE FLOOR. WHEN IN DOUBT, PLEASE INQUIRE AT THE BSE SHOW DESK.
Furnishings
*FLOORING & TABLES ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EXHIBITOR*
Exhibit Space fixtures must be tasteful and acceptable for
view by family-oriented visitors.
Height Requirements
All inline exhibits are restricted from “blocking” your neighbor. The back 4 ft. of the sides of your exhibit may be 8 ft. in height with the front 6 ft. of the sides, a maximum of 4 ft. high only.
Natural or Dangerous Materials
Any display using soil, stone work, water, or other landscape materials must cover the AlamoDome floor with heavy plastic or another appropriate leak-proof covering prior to setup. Any materials used to build or operate your exhibit space must be of limited combustibility or be properly treated with fire retardant.
Banners & Signs
Arrangements to have banners hung may be made through the Builders Showcase Expo Management for an extra charge. You may contact BSE Management at 210-696-3800. Exhibitors may not affix signs to any walls, drapery, or columns. The Alamodome will bill damages to facility to the exhibitor. Banner must be delivered to GSABA by September 14, 2007. Delivery after this date will incur an additional fee. Payment must be made when banner is delivered with checks payable to GSABA with memo “Banner Hanging.”
Any signs located in exhibit space are to have a professional appearance and may not be hung or mounted on AlamoDome walls or permanent fixtures (escalators, bleachers, etc.).
Forklift
Arrangements for a forklift to build or assemble exhibit space can be made through the BSE Show Desk at the following rental rates: 0-15 minutes: $50; 15-30 minutes: $100.
Music, Photos, Copyrighted Material
Due to licensing demands made by ASCAP, Exhibitors are prohibited from using any copyrighted materials (including but not limited to stage production, performance via mechanical or live means, photographs, or art), unless the Exhibitor is holding Prior Written Permission from the Copyrighted Owner (or Copyrighted Owner’s Designee [ASCAP, BMI, etc.]) for such use.
Exhibit Space Approval BSE
All booths & displays are subject to approval and Exhibitors may be asked to improve or alter the appearance of their exhibit. Although not required, we encourage you to bring display furnishings as an alternative to the standard draped table. This will bring a unique and inviting atmosphere to your exhibit. Please stow all material & supply boxes completely out-of-sight after you set up. Appropriate dress is requested of all Exhibitors and employees.
Staff will conduct a booth inspection prior to the opening of the Show. All booths out of compliance will be given the opportunity to adjust accordingly. Booths remaining out of compliance will be draped off and kept out of sight of BSE visitors.
Pipe & Drape
the “Boundaries” of your booth
The maximum height of any object in your booth is regulated by Show Management.
The maximum height of any objects in the front 6’ (six feet) of your booth may not exceed 4’ (four feet) high.
The maximum height of any objects in the back 4’ (four feet) of your booth
may not exceed 8’ (eight feet) high.
Balloons
No helium tanks or helium balloons will be allowed in the AlamoDome without written permission from the AlamoDome and BSE Show Management.
Cleaning
Exhibitors will be responsible for keeping their booth clean. You may contract with the decorator for additional services.

Folding tables must be fully draped and/or tastefully covered. Carpet and draped tables may be ordered from the Expo decorator, Convention Decorating. See Information below and packet within.
Any display using soil, stone work, water, and a variety of other landscape or exterior materials must first cover the facility floor with heavy plastic or another appropriate soil proof floor covering prior to setup. The exhibitor takes full responsibility for any property damage. Signs are to be of a professional quality and may not be hung or mounted on the facility walls. All material used in the construction of your booth display must be of “limited” combustible material or be properly treated with a fire retardant. Any cooking devices used may not have an open flame, and may not be gas or propane fueled; and requires the Exhibitor to keep a 20lb BC Fire Extinguisher on hand at all times.

Convention Decorating is the official Decorator. Their phone number is: 210-467-0041. Their fax number is: 210-467-0048. The Expo Decorator provides the availability of a variety of Exhibit Display materials including draped tables, carpet, and much more. Electrical & Water
Power for your booth may be purchased through Harper Wood Electric. An order form has been included for your convenience. If you intend to use extension cords, please note that they must be 3 prong, outdoor, heavy duty and UL approved. Please send payment directly to the Harper Wood Electric Company. Electrical form can be found under Exhibitor Downloads.
Water requests are to be made directly with the Alamodome and can be handled at the GSABA show office on-site during set-up.
Telecommunications
Telecommunications can be set up with the Alamodome Telecommunications. A connection fee is applicable and a phone connection order needs to be placed 2 weeks in advance. Exhibitors must call to have the temporary phone line disconnected after the Expo. To order services you may download the order form which can be found under Exhibitor Downloads, or call

Fork Lift Rental
Use of the forklift can be made through your Expo representative or at the show desk. Rates for forklift usage are as follows: 0-15 minutes, $50.00, 15-30 minutes, $100.00. Each separate use of the fork lift is accounted separately, time is not cumulative. Please make payment checks payable to GSABA and memo “Fork Lift Use.”

Any and all food or beverage products to be sampled and/or sold must have prior approval from ARAMARK. ARAMARK can be contacted at 210-704-6150. Due to some sponsor related contract constraints, some items may be rejected. Any booth that sells food or beverage products for either on-premise or take home consumption without approval will be subject to a $100.00 fee per booth per day. No products can be sold which will be in direct competition with ARAMARK concession stands. This will be determined by ARAMARK.
Sampling of Food or Beverage Products
Any booth that samples food or beverage products will be allowed to sample at no cost or expense to ARAMARK, however all samples will be subject to the following sizing standards:

*4oz. For Beverage Products
If samples are larger than the size listed above, that booth will be subject to the aforementioned $100.00 per day of rights fee.

2006 Builders Showcase Expo. Some requirements that were
brought to our attention include, but not limited to, the following:
• Open toe shoes are strictly prohibited in the
Alamodome during the move-in or move-out dates.
• During construction, hard hats are required when working
on a structure that has a ceiling or roof. This includes
elaborate booths, the Showcase Home, or any special
feature with walls or overhead structures.
• Safety harnesses are required when working on a structure
taller than 6 feet.
• A city engineer must inspect your structure prior to the
show opening.

GSABA, the Alamodome, and Security accept no liability for missing products or incidents that occur prior to, during, or following the Expo.
**Exhibitors are required to have insurance for any loss that may occur before, during or after the Show. If your booth will involve construction, you must add GSABA to your policy as Additional Insured under your General Liability policy. We must receive written proof from your insurance company.**

What are the building regulations?
Fire & Building Regulations
Please observe the following safety rules:
• Parking on loading docks is permitted only for loading and unloading.
• All draping materials, etc. must be flame retardant.
• All plantings, foundations, etc. should have waterproof plastic materials underneath.
• All sales of food items and novelties must be arranged through the facility’s exclusive concessionaire, Aramark.
Please observe the following safety rules:
• Parking on loading docks is permitted only for loading and unloading.
• All draping materials, etc. must be flame retardant.
• All plantings, foundations, etc. should have waterproof plastic materials underneath.
• All sales of food items and novelties must be arranged through the facility’s exclusive concessionaire, Aramark.
